New Orleans, A Diva’s NOLA-La-Land

Calling all inner college girls.  You know you’re there, ever the sorority sister and waiting to come out and play.  So it’s time to get your sassy self – now free of the freshman 15! – to New Orleans.

As all Divas know, NOLA is its nightlife, so a solid dinner before you hit the dance floor (and corresponding bars) is clutch.  Nothing compares to NOLA’s – literally every app and entrée on the menu are delish, and their cosmos are bliss.  If he’s there, ask for Travis.

To ease into your evening, jazz at Preservation Hall is classic, as are the dualing pianos at O’Brien’s.  When you’re ready to transition, the latter is connected with a courtyard serving drinks and dance.  But Fat Catz and the Funky 544 are where to go when you want to really get going.

A word of caution – Hurricane Katrina may not have bested N’awlins, but their signature “Hurricane” cocktails will master you if you’re not careful.  No lady truly wants to earn those beads – it’s gross, and definitely not classy.  So don’t do it.

Sing it, Akon.  She IS a Diva.
